Why Esterhazy?
Esterhazy is a prospering industrial and agricultural town in Saskatchewan with a big heart and a whole lot of potash. It is home to three potash mines, owned and operated by the Mosaic Company. Locals will joke that Esterhazy is a farming community with a little Potash co on the side!
Esterhazy is nestled between the scenic Qu’Appelle and Kaposavar Valleys in southeaster Saskatchewan. The town has about 2500 residents and is home to the largest potash mine in the world! It is also the major service centre for the area.
Esterhazy has all the small town charms with a family friendly and community focused feel.
Esterhazy offers:
- Low cost of living: Housing, groceries, and healthcare are all budget-friendly.
- Safe: Crime rates are significantly lower than the national average.
- Employment: Strong job market, especially in mining and trades.
There are a couple of challenges to keep in mind with Esterhazy:
- Limited walkability: You’ll likely need a car for most errands.
- Fewer amenities: It’s not a shopping mecca, but Regina (2 hours and 18 minutes drive) and Saskatoon (4 hour drive) are within driving distance. Most locals will travel to Yorkton (1 hour).
Esterhazy offers it's residents:
- A slower pace
- A tight-knit community
- Affordable living
- Nature at your doorstep
- And a town that’s growing and investing in its future…
