All About Trail
The City of Trail is located in the West Kootenary region of the BC Interior. It was named after the Dewdney Trail which passed through the area.
Trail is located approximately 10km north of the United States border, on both banks of the Columbia River.
Trail offers a temperate climate, excellent recreational facilities, an abundance of outdoor activities and residents enjoy a balanced lifestyle with challenging jobs and an enviable quality of life.
The population of Trail is 7,920 (2021 census).
Government
Trail City Council is made up of the mayor and six councillors who are elected for a four-year term.
