British Columbia is the westernmost province in Canada, situation between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains.  It is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean and the American state of Alaska, to the north by Yukon and the Northwest Territories, to the east by the province of Alberta and to the south by the states of Washington, Idaho and Montana. 

It is Canada's third-most populous province with an estimate population of 5,000,879 (2021 census). 

The capital of B.C. is Victoria.  The most populous city is Vancouver which is the third-largest in Canada.
