All About Revelstoke

The City of Revelstoke is located in southeastern British Columbia on the banks of the Columbia River, south of the Revelstoke Dam and near its confluence with the Illecillewaet River. 

 

Revelstoke is located approximately 641km east of Vancouver, and 415km west of Calgary. 

 

The population of Revelstoke is 8,275 (2021 census) however the population does fluctuate depending on the season. 


Revelstoke experiences a humid continental climate. Summers are generally warm and rainy with cool nights, while winters are cold, snowy and very cloudy.

Transportation

The Revelstoke Public Transit Service provides service Monday through Saturday on regular routes throughout the area.

The public schools in Revelstoke are operated by School District 19 – Revelstoke

School District 19 has 3 elementary and 1 secondary school in Revelstoke. 

There is also 1 Francophone school in Revelstoke: l’École des Glaciers
