Manitoba is the easternmost of the three prairie provinces in Canada and located at the longitudinal centre of the country. 

Manitoba's landscape is varied , from arctic tundra and the Hudson Bay coastline in the north to the dense boreal forest, large freshwater lakes and prairie grasslands in the central and southern regions. 

Manitoba's capital and largest city is Winnipeg, which is the 7th most populous municipality in Canada.   The population of Manitoba is 1,342,153 (2021 census).
