Saskatchewan Health Insurance will cover all medically necessary services provided by physicians (in-patient and outpatient services), as well as optometric ocular emergencies, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, immunizations, mental health and treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. If you are moving to Saskatchewan from outside of Canada, you may be eligible for Saskatchewan health coverage on, or before, the first day of the third month after arriving in Canada. If you are among one of the groups identified below, you may be eligible for benefits from the day you move to Saskatchewan:
•People discharged from the Canadian Forces
•Non-immigrants who are in Canada in connection with their trade or profession
•International students
•Returning spouses of Canadian Forces members
•Returning Canadian citizens
Fully Covered Services - Medical and community services provided free for all Saskatchewan residents with valid Saskatchewan Health coverage.
Partially Covered Services - Some services may only be partially covered. You will be responsible to pay any costs not covered by Saskatchewan Health.
Out of Province Coverage - Saskatchewan Health covers some services received outside the province. In some cases, prior approval is required.

There are no fees with respect to obtaining provincial medical insurance coverage in Saskatchewan.
