Saskatchewan is a prairie and boreal province, and the only province without a natural border. 

Saskatchewan is bordered on the west by Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east Manitoba, to the northeast by Nunavut, and on the south by the US states of Montana and North Dakota. 

As of early 2021, the estimated population of Saskatchewan is 1,132,505.   Most residents live in the southern prairie half of the province, while the northern boreal half of the province is mostly forested and sparsely populated.
